Philip R. Tuyay, Esq.
Philip has devoted his entire legal education and practice to workers’ rights. He graduated from the University of San Francisco with a degree in Psychology before later earning his Juris Doctorate from Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles. While in law school, Philip earned distinctions for his trial advocacy skills and the countless pro bono hours he devoted to various public interest causes.
As a litigator, Philip never hesitates to fight for what is right and takes pride in aggressively advocating for his clients based on their individual needs; whether it’s winning a trial to force an insurance company to pay back-due temporary disability benefits, negotiating a six-figure cash settlement, or battling an insurance carrier to make them pay for an incapacitated worker’s hospital stay. Philip enjoys tackling the complex legal issues that other “high volume” firms simply don't have the capacity, or institutional knowledge to litigate.
Philip is the second son of two Filipino attorneys, the fifth grandson of a Filipino mayor, and the fourth grandson of a Filipino judge. As the first in his family to practice law in California, he grew up in the San Gabriel Valley. He still lives there with his daughter, partner, and cocker spaniel. He enjoys cooking, swimming, art, and music.
